Day Services
Farmabilities’ day services are based on building skills that support individual goals and also have social/recreational activities, that take place on the farm. A game of football with the farm’s mascot, Tom the GOAT may occasionally be seen played in the field.
People in the community are encouraged to join in any of Farmabilities’ recreational activities.
This summer, Farmabilities will be teaming up with Integrity Martial Arts to offer karate to our farmers. Karate strengthens the mind, develops composure, a clearer thought process, deeper insight into one's mental capabilities, and enables more self-confidence.
“At Integrity Martial Arts, we use martial arts as a way to teach and encourage positive personal growth and life skills. Regardless of their personal challenges, students can develop confidence and transform themselves through the structure of martial arts. While we teach self-defense concepts, we are also helping students build the habits that will help them along their own personal journey. Our techniques show students how to use their own abilities to overcome adversity and create new opportunities. At Integrity Martial Arts, we encourage students to think flexibly and give them the tools to improve every aspect of themselves."
